As a media specialist, you work with various programs on a daily basis—from Adobe software to Office to open-source tools. However, software is always subject to a specific license that determines how you are allowed to use it. This also applies to whether you are allowed to use or distribute the works you have created commercially.

In order to act in a legally correct manner, you need to know what rights and obligations are associated with the individual license models.

Examine at least two of the following software products or license types and answer the questions for each:

1. What license does the tool have?
2. Can I use the software freely (privately/commercially)?
3. Can I copy or distribute the software?
4. Can I use or sell works created with this software commercially?
5. Are there any restrictions on distribution or publication (e.g., online content, social media, websites)?
